Mitel’s Technical Training group is fantastic. If you work for Mitel and are bored, then you are lazy or need to find a new career. There is so much to learn and the resources available to stimulate your brain and increase your value to Mitel and our customers are practically endless.
For myself, being a pre-sales engineer and solution architect, the technical learning resources are numerous, and get updated regularly with version releases. We must keep our certification levels up-to-date so that we can assist our Authorized Partners and Customers in understanding our solutions and the value they bring.
In North America we have our flagship MiVoice Business call manager and associated applications such as MiCollab, MiVoice Border Gateway, MiVoice Call Recording, MiContact Center and Open Integration Gateway. But in addition to these, we have the MiVoice Office 250, MiVoice Office 400, and MX-One call managers and their associated applications. It is practically a full time job just keeping up!
We extend these learning resources out to our partner community obviously, and sometimes we make some very useful resources freely available to our customers. A recent example of this is our IP Phone Feature Teacher.
6900 Series IP Phone Features
In November 0f 2016 Mitel released a new series of our award winning IP phones – the 6900 series. This post is not going to dig into the many advanced features of these phones as I will save that for future posts. However, out Technical Training group has updated our Feature Teacher software for these new phones and have made it freely available to everyone.
To access go to Mitel.com > Service & Support > Training then select the “Customer Training” button and see the sentence “Click here for free courses on phones and applications!”
This will bring you to a page where you can use the Feature Teacher for not only the new 6900 series phones, but also our earlier generation of phones, consoles, and some applications.
